I am supposed to be revising storyboards. I got about a handful of thumbnails in before reading an article on race in comic books and realized my characters are not very diverse at all and started designing a group of young crime fighting superheroines all based on nocturnal birds. By day they survive being freshmen in high school and by night they punch bad guys like all the time.

The leader is my favorite. Her name will be Danielle and she will be the Eagle Owl and will shoot arrows and have badass claw gloves.

And her best friend will be the Screech Owl. I don’t know what to do about her yet except short hair. The shortest of punk hair. I thought about making her a snowy owl but a completely white super hero get up is probably not ideal for fighting crime at night.

One of my friends recently cut her hair quite short and it is freaking adorable and I am jealous.

Wow I am just working really hard to waste time today.
